We often think we know which foods are “good” and which are “bad.”
But sometimes, it’s not that simple.
There are everyday foods that seem harmless — even healthy — but when eaten too often or in certain forms, they can quietly affect heart health.
For example:
- Packaged snacks labeled “low-fat” can still be high in sugar
- Processed meats may contain additives that aren’t heart-friendly
- Even some ready-to-eat meals hide high levels of sodium
This doesn’t mean you need to cut everything out.
It just means being a little more aware of what’s inside your food.
A good approach is:
- Choose whole, less processed options when possible
- Check labels occasionally
- Keep things balanced instead of extreme
Your heart health isn’t shaped by one meal — it’s shaped by patterns over time.
And small shifts in those patterns can go a long way.
